Outpatient appointment

This page sets out some important information on fees & charges which we are obliged to provide to every patient who books to see Mr Horwitz in clinic. If you do not have private medical insurance but someone else will be paying your bill, you should pass this information to them. Please note that even if someone else is paying your bill or you have private medical insurance, you are responsible for paying any charges which they do not pay.

Consultation Fee

Fee for an initial consultation will not exceed £300 (standard fee £250) and fee for any follow-up consultation will not exceed £200 (standard fee £150). These estimates are correct as at the date of publication. Fees for procedures performed during an outpatient consultation will be made clear to you at the time of the consultation.
Should you cancel your appointment with less than 48 hours notice, a cancellation fee of up to 50% of the appointment charge OR an amount of £75 (initial consultation) and £50 (follow-up consultation) may be charged.

Following your consultation you may need certain tests (such as imaging e.g. X-ray, MRI or CT scan or blood tests) to help diagnose your condition. When the test is undertaken by the Fortius Clinic or another hospital/ clinic, and not by Mr Horwitz, the fees for those tests will be determined by the hospital and charged to you, or your private medical insurer, separately. If there are any fees which Mr Horwitz will charge in addition to the what the hospital/clinic charge in relation to any of the tests you have, Mr Horwitz will let you know what those will be.

Private Medical Insurance

If you have private medical insurance, please contact your insurer before your consultation, to check the terms of your policy, particularly the level and type of outpatient cover you have and your eligibility for further tests, including any reimbursement limits on individual consultation fees. You may need to call the insurer after your consultation if you need further tests or hand therapy.

Mr Horwitz is recognised by the private medical insurers listed at the end of this letter, however, please do check with my office if your insurer is not listed below as its likely that you will need to pay upfront and then claim back the fees from your insurer directly. Please note you are responsible for any fees not covered by your insurer.

Financial Interests: Mr Horwitz is legally obliged to tell you that he is shareholder in the Fortius London Limited (registration number - 07033880). He receives no dividend or shareholder payment relating to this financial interest at this time nor does he receive any financial incentive if he sends you for a scan or a test at the Fortius Clinic.
